Treating the Cat Parasite Coccidia
The cat parasite Coccidia is a microscopic protozoan that infects and multiplies within the intestinal track. The single-celled parasite is most commonly found in kittens. Due to their underdeveloped immune systems, the young kitten’s body is less able to fight the parasite. It may also be found in adult cats with weakened immunities, as well as dogs. Symptoms of Coccidia include diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and weight loss.
